This is the worst website I have ever ordered from. I am still waiting on an item that I ordered almost 2 months ago that they told me had shipped on time. Then I was told they couldn't give me a tracking number. one of the items I did receive broke the first time my wife wore them. They were packed in an envelope, not protected at all and they were earrings. I could buy jewelry at Walmart and it's packaged better. Their customer service department sends conflicting status updates, it didn't ship, it did ship, you got it, it will be there next week. Then I'm told to "hang in there." I wonder how they would "hang in there" if they were waiting on my money for 2 months after I ordered a product.

If it was an option to give this site a negative star rating, I would. I orderd something two weeks (approx) before my event and when I ordered I asked if it would be a problem. "No problem" I was told. I continued to try to follow up the week before our event and was told "check back tomorrow" or "I will send you an email" I knew we were getting close to the event and that if it was not shipped I was running out of time to reorder somewhere else. I got an email the THURSDAY before our event that said "we are unable to ship your items in time, sorry we have cancelled your order."
I am very unhappy with this. The customer service person that I spoke with many times said things to me like "We have a process" "It is more complicated than that" "We really don't need to go into this, we tried and we could not get it." He generally seemed like he did not care. I will NEVER order from this site again. They did not even offer to me to ship something else in place of what I ordered (kippot for a wedding). I had to ask if that would be a possiblity and he said he would send me an email. An hour and a half later I secured kippot from another company and called Ahuva.com back and spoke with him and he said "sorry I have been so busy I was not able to get to that." Ummm... wow thanks buddy I see you really cared as it is THURSDAY and my event is Sunday and I am sure you close early on Friday for Shabbat. I would NEVER order from them. They don't seem to care about their customers at all. I was very dissapointed. I did, however have a great experience at Kippotcenter.com. I called explained what I needed and the items are shipped and on their way to me as I type this, will be here in time for my event on Sunday. Sorry for typeos etc. I am at work can't edit. Needed to put this review in though!

I also had a terrible experience with this company. I ordered a tallis, and when it came, it was an entirely different tallis than the one I ordered. When I complained, they told me that they sent me a bigger size, but that "That's ok." Hmm.... It's ok because you said it is? What about the fact that it's twice the size of what I wanted? Oh, and they failed to address the fact that the tallis delivered was missing embroidery that was pictured online, and was covered in beading that wasn't. It took me weeks to get a straight answer from Josh about whether they would refund it, and that was after he demanded I send a digital picture to them, and insisted that he returned all of my emails and phone calls which was just totally untrue. He also refused to refund me the shipping because "it was your choice to return it." Really? It's my choice that you sent a totally different item than I purchased? After some leverage with Paypal, I was able to get the money back, but it was several weeks of aggravation to get there. No joke, it was the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced, online or elsewhere. And I never write reviews but this was so bad I actually searched online for where I could write to help other buyers avoid the same frustration. One star is a total over rating.

I have to agree with the above review. I ordered 4 items and only 3 arrived, yet when I emailed to ask where the missing item was, all I received was a form response containing 2 tracking numbers, one of which bore no relationship at all to my parcel (different order date, different address, different country even!). If necessary I will do a chargeback on my credit card, but I hate doing that as it always makes you look like you're the scammer instead of the merchant. Anyway, take my advice & shop for your Judaica elsewhere. I know I will be.

Ahuva should be closed so that it can no longer prey on consumers who need Jewish items and want to buy from an Israeli company. My experience is like everyone else's here. I ordered a seder plate and paid for expedited shipping in time for the seder. Not only did the order get shipped by regular mail and arrived after seder -- it was the wrong plate. In an email, they acknowledged it was the wrong plate, but would not refund it. After several very rude responses from Yehoshua/Josh, he agreed to "allow" me to return it, but I had to pay the shipping. He then said I can come to Israel and return it there. Seriously. The worst part came when I had my credit card company intervene. He fabricated emails that he said he sent to me arranging returns!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH AHUVA! ASK OTHER JEWISH VENDORS NOT TO DO BUSINESS WITH AHUVA! Companies like Ahuva hurt the on-line industry and reflect badly on Israeli merchants we want to support.
